All about us..
There have always been dog's and horses in my life..
My first contact with dog's was with my grandparents mixed breed "Putte"
He watched over me like a guardian angel:). He was in our life until he
was 18 years old,
even concurred the dreaded distemper and parvoinfection.
After several years of horses and
show jumping.
Dog's became a bigger part of my life.
My first own dog was a dachshund which
I had lots of success with.
First time out CC, and BOB at the international show in Malmö
1984.
Since I had small children at that time I did not breed her, overall I
was not interested in breeding at that time.
When we moved to our house I
thought it would be great to have a dog in the house.
I got a yellow lab "Donna" from my mothers and after a few years and
after passing all the exam needed
to breed, I had my first litter -92. Also with good result, got a lovely
bitch who I co-owned with my mother.
She was 2 best bitch and got the CC, second time out under breed
specialist and
at the same show my own saved boy was BOS puppy,
Donnas puppies were lovely and healthy passing their hip/elbow and eye
exam.
The lab is a LOVELY breed but it
takes lot of effort and work and I decided to try to get a smaller breed
instead.
And my eyes fell on the Cavaliers.
In
1992 I bought my first Cavalier. Since my sister had a litter at that time I
decided to
buy one from her to start with. Her name was Krabat's Josephine "Josse"
She was NOT a show Cavalier, we entered a couple of shows always with
the same result:), blue ribbon..
So I tried to breed her to se if she at least could give something nice
but with the same result:).
Luckily she was a true Cavalier and she is the reason for my passion..
I have one girl after her still living today
Lazycroft's She sells Seashells "Wilma"
11,5 years old and still healthy..
(Sadly we lost Wilma 2008 due to cancer in her liver..)
My first real brood bitch was a
lucky catch, I heard that a sweet Blenheim bitch was looking for a new home.
I was lucky to get her. Her name was Banderillas Brigitte Barbro "Pyret" and she was out of
old Swedish lines and
granddaughter to a very nice English stud Grantilley Gambler by Toraylac
Christopher Robin.
She is the foundation to all here @ Lazycroft's and she is still alive
going on 15 years.
Now with a slight murmur at 11 years.
I was so impressed with the
excellent heads, perfect size and lovely types of the dog's at Toraylac
and Grantilley.
That I decided to mate Pyret to her grandfather (Grantilley Gambler) and
from that litter I saved Lazycroft's Heaven
on Earth.
Winning one CC at Big Stockholm in big competition. She is a beautiful, small,
Typy girl who now is going on 11 years and still
healthy.
I have today a great friendship
in Caroline Ackroyd Gibson,
Toraylac and have been lucky to get my hands on
several of her stud dogs to Improve and preserve the type that I love
and adore.
Toraylac Jonas by the GREAT
stud dog GBCh Toraylac Joshua, T. Jonas gave me
NUCh Lazycroft's Quentin, AKCh Lazycroft's Queen of My Heart,
AKCh, Canadian Ch Lazycroft's Yoseph,
SUCh Lazycroft's Rose Mullion and
SUCh, NUCh Sperringgårdens
Cinnamon bred by
my friend Leni @ Sperringgårdens.
Thank you everyone who has breed all these lovely dog's that are in my
home and also in my dogs pedigree.
and for those who have shown the Lazycroft's dog's to become
Champions around the world.
Need I say that my dog's live with me as family and that health is no 1
priority:)..
Trying to combine health and soundness with the true type and
temperament that is so essential for a Cavalier.

Ewa and all of us @Lazycroft's
